What exists today.
Capability by capability. What runs now is listed as running; what is still being built says so.
The desk
Every document processed, its form, its page count and its status, identified automatically, with the system’s own health alongside.
Reading
Charter parties arrive as PDFs, scans and photographs. CharterWise reads them page by page, with OCR where the page needs it.
Two depths of scan: a fast commercial screen covering the eight load-bearing clauses of the form, or the full pass against the complete schedule.
The document
Every extracted clause as a card, and riders paired with the printed clauses they override.
Vessel due diligence sits alongside: class, flag and port state control history, pulled by name or IMO number from the public registry.
The audit
A risk score with its workings shown: which clauses are missing, which deviate, which need a second read, each with a plain-English note on why it matters in this trade.
Comparison and voyage workings
Two documents side by side, clause by clause.
And behind every fixture, an editable working sheet: freight basis, bunkers, port costs, commissions, recalculated as you type.
Grounded, not “trained”.
CharterWise is grounded in a locally indexed corpus of BIMCO standard forms and their explanatory notes, and it audits against each form’s published clause schedule.
We do not claim a model trained on charter parties; ours is a stock model directed by retrieval and form-aware prompting, running on the customer’s hardware. When that changes, this page will say so.
Built, and building.
ASBATANKVOY and GENCON are proven in service on real fixtures. BPVOY’s clause schedule is complete. NYPE, Shelltime and Baltime are being built, in that order.
